Frequently asked questions

How do I get my NHS Online Credentials?

I already used my codes with Patient Access

You will need your NHS Online Credentials if:

  • Your practice does not support the myGP Easy Sign-In
  • Ordering prescriptions*
  • Viewing your medical record*

1.  Visit your practice with photo ID (passport or driving licence) and proof of address (such as utility bill) and tell them you would like to start using their online services.

The specific codes required are:

– Account Linkage Key or PIN
– Account ID or Access ID

2. Fill in a registration form required by your practice

3. Once this is done, your practice will provide you with your NHS Online Credentials

Please check your GP Surgery’s website for more information on this as they may have a different process for acquiring the codes.
