Whilst preGP Care Navigation is an automated feature, and is largely “set it and forget it”, we do recommend periodic housekeeping.
You should review your configuration to make sure that everything is still relevant and accurate.
How to access preGP Care Navigation settings
Log into myGP Connect.
Select the Settings cog button on the left-hand ribbon.
In the sub-menu that expands, click on the preGP Care Navigation option.
The preGP Care Navigation settings screen will appear.
Telephone Appointment Setup
Telephone Appointments are dynamically suggested to the patient only if they are available sooner than a face-to-face GP appointment.
Requirements
The following requirements are needed to support Telephone Appointments:
- The appointment slots need to be configured as timed appointments
- The Slot Type needs to be enabled in myGP Appointments settings
Adding a Telephone Appointment Slot Type
preGP Care Navigation supports only one Slot Type for Telephone Appointments. This makes sign-posting to telephone appointments simple and easy to use for the patient.
To add a Telephone Appointment slot type, click on the blue Assign Slot Type button.
The New Telephone Service screen will appear.
Use the drop down menu to select the Slot Type you wish to assign as a Telephone Appointment sign-post.
Once you have selected your Slot Type, click on Assign Slot Type.
Please note: This will hide the Slot Type from being bookable from the general appointment booking flow. It must be sign-posted to using preGP Care Navigation.
If this behaviour does not fit the way you wish to handle Telephone Appointments, we do not recommend assigning a Slot Type.
The Slot Type will be immediately activated and begin signposting patients as appropriate.
Please note: The Slot Types available to select in the above drop down are only those that have been enabled as bookable by myGP. If the Slot Type you wish to assign is not displaying, you will need to enable it within the myGP Appointments settings option.
Removing a telephone appointment slot type
When a Slot Type has been assigned for Telephone Appointments, it can be removed easily by using the action buttons to the right of the screen in line with the displayed Slot Type.
Use the Trash Can icon to delete the Slot Type assignment.
You will be asked if you are sure you would like to remove the Slot Type assignment. To continue, click on OK.
